I have windows server 2012 R2 standard on my server. I got it all hook up and running. I use it as a home file server to store everything so i don't fill up my desktop or laptop. You can't access outside my house. Don't know how to set that up. My question is that i put a antivirus on it to be safe. Before i put it on there i could access it quickly. Now after installing the antivirus and i go on there from other computer in my house it will take up to 5 minutes for me to see anything. My windows 11 computer will just say "working on it" and be like that for 5 minutes or so. I using avira antivirus for servers. I downloaded it off there web site. Yes it is the free version. The server is all updated though windows update and the antivirus is all up to date. I know when i ran scan to scan my server for the first time it wanted me to uninstall files that i need for file sharing. I didn't do it. So what to do to fix this? Do i need to uninstall the antivirus or need to change a setting. Thanks for the help.
