Hello all,

Have a question that I am hoping someone could answer. I own an Asus C621e Sage motherboard. I I have two Xeon Gold 6250's installed, along with 192GB of DDR4 ram @2133mhz. I recently found out that I can overclock the RAM to 2933mhz but the memory timings go up quite a bit. My question is if I were to purchase a DDR4 set @2933mhz natively, which has lower timings would I notice any difference? As for the workload I pretty much do a lot of video encoding, and some light gaming every now and then. Also, it acts as good space heater. ;)

Thanks

It is unlikely that your workloads are sensitive to memory bandwidth.

You can test that by benchmarking when underclocking.
