Are those power figures correct ? 10th uses significantly less at idle and even under load than 8tb and both are helium drives....

I am aware that's WD published specs but would be very interesting to verify as a big difference over a dozen disks for example.

Seek acoustics also improved a remarkable degree.

Specs on WD site still not changed, I really wonder if the power consumption is that much improved or some lies in the spec of the new 10tb or older 8tb and less drives, I can't see why idle power consumption is so much lower unless power was mainly used in the controller and they improved that massively ?

Looked at the gold specs, 10tb is slightly more efficient than 8tb, but now where near the red/red pro.

when I was looking yesterday it seemed like they were cheaper. probably a price change.
