I'm looking for a cheap lsi sata controller which will give me maximum queue depth in vmware esxi.
There is a NEC OEM 9264-8i (L3-25121-62B) controller with 256mb cache onboard listed on ebay listed as a 9260-8i. As i did not see any hits on the lsi forums on NEC OEM controllers, and there is no NEC controller listed in the STH LSI controller list on this forum. Anyone have experience with these controllers ? or other recommendations ? It must at least have a listing in the vmware compatibility guide.
