this board doesn't seem to have anything more than the S2600CP2J board offered with the natex deal. At least it does appear to also support s3 sleep reportedly but does take a little while to get out of sleep like all server board...

$260.00 for a new C602 Dual CPU 2011 v1 mother board is a screaming good deal.

Didn't people have alot of issues with Win10 with this model?

$260 + 65 + 65 + 224 = 614

Natex

$495 or something with Intel board, issues there too, just not Win :p

Either way, none of the deals are issue free so I guess you just gotta go with value.

New or used - does it really matter?

No, I had issues with windows 10 with the EP2C602-4L/D16 motherboard not this EP2C602 motherboard.

Used motherboards I try to stay away from.

I have had issues in the past, dead boards, not lasting very long, some features not working ect.

Of course I had issues with new board too but far less.

A big plus on this board is that AsrockRack has really great service.

Not seeing why new or used really matter as long as they work... I haven't tried much server role, VM, Linux thing on the S2600CP so I can't say much about those but I do hear issues with VM and VT with two video cards on S2600CP.

As far as workstation wise, the S2600 is not too bad. have to lose 2 pcie slots of the 6 for sound card and usb3 cards but so far working good with win10.

The natex deal is still the cheapest route if you can deal with some of the issues. They have a newer package with PC3L ram for lower price of $450 for MB/ dual e5-2670/128GB. Its hard to argue value there....

if you can score a good deal for a barebone Lenovo d30, dell t7600, hp z820, that's the other route to go also. Those 3 oem have a lot of friendly WS features.
