Need the ability to give thanks.

Not a big fan of likes especially as these seem to go to the thread (as they should) rather than users (I am aware they are recorded on your profile as well though).

A number of other forums have the ability to give 'Thanks' to people and it sticks to their post. I find this a much nicer way to show appreciation for the work people have done.

Any chance to get a thanks button / feature added ?.

I can think of a number of people I would like to give thanks to for all their hard work, effort and information sharing on here.

I like the idea. Not sure how they do this. Will see what I can find RB. If you do know what the other forums use with vB that would help a bit.

I like that idea a lot as well. Lots of people here have been very helpful to me. Would be great to be able to leave some thanks, although I do always try to add it to my posts/threads anyway.
