I’m re-building my NAS that backs up RAW media, video projects and other supported media. I’ve got a 5800x or 5950X that I can use for the CPU

Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 m.2 NVME spots (3-4 would be ideal, but not a deal breaker due to PCIe need).
• (1) PCIe 4.0×8 slot (16x slot that converts the 2nd 16x slot to split into two 4.0 8x) - Asus GTX 1080 video card I have left over
• (1) PCIe 4.0×8 slot - LSI 9300-16i 12Gb/s SAS/SATA HBA IT Mode. (20 HDD w/ SATA Connections included)
• (1) PCIe 3.0×4 slot - Intel X550 10G (or open to suggestions to other cards, haven't purchased yet)
• (6) SATA Connections

This will all go in a Fractal Design Meshify 2 XL case. I'm moving away from the awesome Dell rack, Supermicro 4U case, and a lot of the things I had in there. It's a fairly big office and we're re-arranging the room and the space the rack is in is going to become a closet area to store my camera gear and other items.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, awesome. Yeah the PCIe slots are needed to hit the full potential of the cards. I really appreciate it and I'll research it now.

Other alternative is to skip the 10GB card if the motherboard has it built-in, or possibly (2) 2.5Gbe ports? This isn't going into a rack, so e-ATX or ATX is perfectly fine. Or I can do without the NVME slots if that helps. I'll just stick with SSD for the OS and VM.

the problem is I couldn't find any three PCI slot boards in in any size for those CPUs from Supermicro or Asrock Rack. I am assuming you don't want a gaming board for your NAS

I ended up finding an ASUS AMD AM4 Pro WS X570-Ace ATX Workstation Motherboard. While not a server MOBO like I'm used to, at least it's a workstation and has (3) 8x PCIE 4.0 slots and will accomplish what I need. This isn't mission critical, per say, but this is my Work From Home setup and then I backup projects at our headquarters; which is also backed up out of state.
