So I bought a 23 inch monitor from the pawn shop the other day to plug and play with a server while installing centos at the beginning of the install everything was showing perfectly then it gets to the part of the install where you partition the server all that good stuff and the screen goes off. I thought it was a problem with the resolution so today I went to best buy and bought a 27 inch brand new ASUS VZ279H monitor expecting that to solve my issue "guess what? it didn't" anyone else had this issue before how did you solve it? The monitor pretty much disconnects from the server/loses connection.

Fire up a Ubuntu live image to see if it will work to rule out any possible Centos issues, yes still linux but Ubuntu is very hardware friendly.
