I have a new motherboard and am needing to buy more RAM for it. I currently have 4 sticks of ECC RAM M393B1K70DH0-YH9 and am thinking of buying 2 more of M393B1K70CH0-YH9 which is also ECC. Both are supported by the Motherboard (running 2 x X5660).

Any problem in making such a mix ?

M393B1K70CH0-YH9 and
M393B1K70CH0-YH9

Seem like the same to me so you should be fine.

Generally though:
1. Use all RDIMMs or UDIMMs
2. Use ECC if supported
3. Use same speed and timings
4. Use same ranks if possible

Beyond that you are fine.
