    Hi 1st STH post!

    I need a basic L2 SFP+ switch for a colo. There's a few Xeon D boxes and I've got SFP+ networking but we're using 1G now.

This is going to host a single LAN. 8 machines. I just need SFP+ and stable with low power. Will this work?

You could get 10G with SFP+ optics or DACs. Here are some options recommended in another discussion here in STH.

    SFP+ Optics:
    • Intel AFBR-703DZ-IN2
    • Myricom 10G-SFP-SR
    • FS.COM SFP-10GSR-85

    DACs:
    • Cisco SFP-H10GB-CU5M
    • Dell 2CM32 (3m)
    • Dell 337MK (5m)
