Memory Dell C6100

I'm planning on buying a Dell C6100. Now the seller told me that each CPU requires at least two memory modules, so that would be 4 memory modules per node. But when I review the owner manual, I get the idea that 1 memory module per node is enough. Does anyone know the minimum number of memory per node?
