there was no demands in request - I supposed you connect devices within 5m.
this is DAC, not cable.
MPO(MPI) cable + transceiver costs a lot. if you really need distance more them 50m.

For these optics you want to be safe and use MPO-12. They don't look like the 40G Brocade optics I have that only require MPO-8.

I am not home so can't post the pictures of my Brocades nor could I confirm MPO-8 will work with MC2207411-SR4Ls. They are also spec'ed to 30m distance. https://network.nvidia.com/related-docs/prod_cables/PB_LinkX_AOC_Transceivers_QSFP_SFP_SFP+.pdf

MC2207411-SR4L
Hi ok.. because we have here 40GB gbic mpo from other manufacturer and the cable that came with them was 8 fibre, for 40GB.. so i guess it needs to run on 12Fiber mpo.. i will check out in our regions see if we have some cards.. i have some 100G milijet gbics here which i have tested in 2 different dell servers with MC354ECAT cards firmware upgraded and ethernet mode enabled on them.. they linked 40GB ofcourse.. on autonegociation.. but will try to get hold of the correct mellanox gbic.. which seem to be more cheaper here then the DAC mellanox cables..

Btw is there any other manufacturer brand 56Gbps compatible with the switch? MC2207411-SR4L seems to be out in our region.

So
basically from what i understood this switch is meant to be used in a datacenter with low power optics for shorter distances? preference with MM fiber multi-mode..

not meant for high carrier grade Single Mode high power gbics for higher distances 1mile , 10miles, 25miles ..

Hi All,
I just bought the Mellanox SX6036 but the image is
Running system image: PPC_M460EX 3.4.3002 2015-07-30 20:13:15 ppc
Could you please share the firmware again?
and do you have the tutorial or the link to upgrade the firmware?
Thank you.

I'm sorry for the late reply.
I've been forgetting it for a while because I had personal reasons.

Additional tips:
Don't use Firmware update in WebUI. It's incredibly slow.
even if you're not familiar with it, it's a good idea to update it through the CLI.
USB is the best, but if USB port is broken, use TFTP
