Hi All,
I recently acquired a few 9361-8i boards while decommissioning some old hardware. I'd like to use them as HBAs but am getting the idea that may not be 100% doable. So far, I've set the personality to "JBOD" and that works well; individual drives appear to the host system as expected.
The problem I've run into is that I'm using an expander (based around the LSI SAS2X36 part). In order to make it behave as needed, I'd like to be able to talk SMP to it.
Per my reading of the smp_utils documentation (smp_utils package) it looks like I need to be using the mpt3sas driver. That does not appear to work with my card, even in JBOD mode. And it looks like this is not a card with available "IT mode" firmware.
Question:
Is there any way to send SMP messages via the 9361-8i and megaraid_sas driver?
Thanks,
Allen
