I'm looking for some inexpensive M.2. SATA3 (Not NVMe) SSD's. The M.2. controller on my MoBo (ASRock Rack D1541D4U-2O8R) operates at SATA3 not PCIe. Everything I see these days is NVMe and since I can't make use of those speeds it makes no sense to buy one.

Do you have any acapacity requirements?
Powerlosss protection?
Budget?
256-512GB. Don't need power loss protection. Don't really have a budget in mind but looking for as cheap as I can get. This will be for all my docker containers' appdata running on my home storage server.

Crucial m.2 sata drives always come on sale at microcenter. Have been running a few of them in various systems for about a year.

Not exactly a heavy workload drive but the usually Samsung 850/860evo would certianly be a good pick at the price point that’s low.

But more enterprise like is something like intel DC SSD S3520
