I am new the forum (just registered) and I am feeling kind-a overwhelmed from all the info. I have been learning about ZFS for the past couple of weeks and want to build an old server properly - to have a working environment to try things. So the machine is a 1U Supermicro with LSI 9271 card. From what I understood about ZFS, it wants direct access to the HDDs - meaning I have to flash the card with this IT firmware. But I can't seem to find it - may you, please, point me to some guides, resources?
