I picked up a 9260-8i on ebay and spent some time today with it. I don't have the sff-8087 to sata cables yet but wanted to upgrade the firmware and check the battery. The firmware on it was probably original from 2009 (12.0.1-0081). I did a stepped upgrade to 12.11.0-0016 then to latest 12.15.0-0239. Everything went fine.
The issue I am having now is that webbios won't load after ctl+h is pressed. It says it will load it after post. When post is complete it just hangs. I suspect this may be because I have no drives attached. Can anyone confirm if this is the case? Should I be able to enter webbios with no attached drives? Webbios would not load with the initial firmware either.
