Hardware key will be recognized, so electrically it's compatible. Whether the serial number that is within the key will work, I don't know. My issue was that I was using LSI key on IBM hardware (also 3 pin vs 2 pin, which I made adapter for); but I was getting message wrong iButton, which is due to using LSI key on IBM hardware.
