AMD EPYC supports LRDIMM (M386xxxx is LRDIMM) but we have seen so many issues with LRDIMM on supermicro H11/H12 motherboards.
for that reason i can NOT recommend to buy LRDIMM.

Yeah, I tried using Samsung LRDIMMs on H12SSL-i and it just wouldn't boot. Popped in some mixed RDIMMs and they just work™

I can't find many threads do you know if they are using 2666Mhz? That could explain some older rev boards not accepting it

JEDEC profiles: clocked down.
h12 boards have no LRDIMM in tested memory list.
but you can try it and report if it works or not.
