I am looking for a TOR switch to be used with a full rack of colo stuff. Will need layer 3 fuctionality and also thinking a switch with dual PSU is probably a good idea. Figured I would post here and see what you guys have to suggest.

You can have the Cisco Nexus 3064 series switch. The Cisco Nexus 3064-X is equipped with 48 fixed 10G Ethernet SFP+ ports and 4 fixed QSFP+ ports, which is suitable for 10G optical solutions and future proofing for the 40G network.

And the Cisco Nexus 3064-T is with 48 fixed 10GBASE-T ports and 4 QSFP+ ports that is ideal for 10G cooper networks.

hes looking for 10g uplinks, not full 10g - according to the topic.

How about a cisco 3850 ? - should suit your needs.

Jerry I did look at that switch and was able to find the SFP version for less than $1500 which seems great for that switch. The problem is most of my gear in the rack will need to be hooked up via copper.

Not having any luck finding the copper transceivers...that said based on the cost of the other transceivers even if the switch is relatively cheap the TCO is going to be quite high.

Depends what you mean exactly..

Nexus switches have an "unsupported-transceiver" command, which would be needed if you dont get a cisco coded sfp.
