I am going to try some Samsung PM1643A sas ssd in a production server. The manufacturer list their endurance at 1 DWPD.

Next they are going to be 8 drives all together, 4 in a raid 0 array in a 1 drive group and 4 in raid 0 in the next drive group and then each drive group mirrored to each other. A raid 10 array.

I would assume that since there are 4 drives and the writes will be split between 4 drives, it will quadruple the the endurance ?

Am I thinking correctly ?

Better way to think about it is that if you have a RAID0 with 4 disks, each disk will receive 1/4 of the writes. Endurance will not change.

If you're worried about endurance you can under provision the drive(s).
