HI Everyone,

I'm looking at Getting a couple QFX5100-48S's for my lab and I'm wondering if anyone has any hard data on how noisy these are at idle on the latest firmware? The only information Juniper gives is that they are less that 70dbA.

It would be ideal if they were below 50Dba

these are big datacenter switches, they're not gonna be quiet. We have a pair at work, but they're on old firmware so I can't provide you much useful data. they're also in a big datacenter with a lot of other noise...

Yeah I figured as much. I know on early versions they had some fan control issues. might just grab a pair and if they are too noisy just sell them on.
