Dear STH Community,
I'm reposting here becasue a Moderator on the TrueNAS Forum did tell me maybe i have more luck here
I'm switching from a TerraMaster to hopfully a "old" new Server.
I got a SAS9300-8e (H3-25460-02H) installed.
After reading a lot about it for Accessing an JBOD i wanted to Flash that card to the "TrueNAS" Version.
Sadly the Guide i was following did not start to backup the current Firmware. So I'm stuck.
I'm using the MSDOS "Version"
My current State:
Trying to List all
This did work before i started.
Trying to flash new: (SASNEW.bin is from the TureNAS Post)
I tryied both from the TrueNAS Version:
SAS9300_8e_IT_acm.bin
SAS9300_8e_IT.bin
But because it is an external Card the ACM Version should be the correct one? I think?
Trying to flash an older Version from here:
Channel_9300-8e_IT_Nexus => SASOLD.bin
Writing an Empty File works.
CleanFlash also works:
I used a different Guide in the Beginning. Thats why i don't have a Backup of the Original FW.
But in the end I used that Guide:
I'm not sure what to do now?
I hope somebody can help me.
Regards
Tobias

Before starting the Version 16.00.10.00 IT was on the Card if i rememeber correctly.Update:
Got an Update from the TrueNAS Forum. Seems like my Root Issue was that i was following a CrossFlash Guide when i just needed an Update Guide. But still my current Issue is the same.
Sadly the Guide i was following did not start to backup the current Firmware. So I'm stuck.

Detailed newcomers' guide to crossflashing LSI 9211/9300/9305/9311/9400/94xx HBA and variants
There's hundreds of threads on crossflashing variants of LSI 9211/9300/9305/9311/94xx cards here, on ServeTheHome, and on blogs. But they don't always discuss the subtleties of doing it on an EFI board for users who may never have used EFI...
