Guys I have 2 Perc 6i cards laying around. I have an extra 8 2TB drives that I would like to throw into a raid 5. So with that said is the Perc 6i still worth using? I already know that I will need to put at least an 80mm fan on it and a decent heat sink. Anyway guys let me know your thoughts.

I'm not too keen on the perc 6/i right now. Then again, if I still had them, I would probably either try or sell them then get a M5014.
I'm still using some of those and they work perfectly... I run ZFS over a Raid 6 on perc 6i... They worked without any issues for more than 3+ years. No trouble with them so far.. You don't need more than a 30 or 40mm fan over the original heatsinks...
The single issue with these i see is that they won't support 2TB+ harddrives... With regular 512b sector drives they work wonderful... I get a 800+ MB/sec from one of this cards with 8 drives in Raid 6...
