Is CPU mining currently profitable?

Hello,

I was just wondering, if CPU mining is currently a profitable option for multicore systems. I am fully aware, that there is no general answer, since it depends on many factors. But at the same time you could say, that GPU mining is currently profitable

Since most mining currencies are "optimized" for GPUs, I was hoping you could recommend a CPU friendly mining currency I could just try it out.

I looked up what my 3950X would make for shits 'n giggles: €0,81 per day assuming 0.1 cents per kWh according to Nicehash.

Or, if I add my RX480: €1,37 a day. It would take me ~7 months to get back what I paid for my RX480 Nitro+ in 2016 lol

Here in Germany the price is closer to 0,3€/kWh
