I can't get the remote console redirect to work with my motherboard.

When I run the jviewer java program to launch the remote console I get an error "INVALID WEB SESSION COOKIE". I can click ok and I get the interface to load but the screen image is completely black.

Any ideas?

So you have been able to enter the correct IPMI address into IE or Chome and then login to the session ?
From there you see a thumbnail of the remote control window in the lower right side of the screen.
After you click on the thumbnail you get this error ?

Do you get a popup about running/updating Java ?

I would restart the server. Uninstall Java then head over to the Java download page and reinstall it.

Run the Java Control Panel and try lowering the security level, it might be set to Very High, try High.

Wait, go back several version? There was a popup once I tried to open the console, reminding me to update, so I did. Which java version should I use?

I did get it working although I am not 100% sure how. I am pretty sure I fixed it by upgrading to Java 1.8.0_77 and adding the IPMI IP address to the Java Site Exception List.

Other things I did that could have contributed:
- Cleared the Java temporary internet files
- Made sure I only had one version of Java installed
- Installed Bitvise SSH client

Well, it seems like it wasn't an IPMI issue after all.
Sadly the iddue seems much bigger now, once I start the machine it's stuck at "System initialization...53".
And so far that doesn't seem to be a RAM problem.

Now that I think about it I had issues like this some time ago and I did the same thing you did, adding the IPMI IP address to the Java Site Exception List, I think I had to lower security settings also, and that seemed to work.
