Intel Xeon Scalable CPU's: sweet spot $$

Looking for Intel Xeon Scalable CPUs similar to v3 2678.

What's the current sweet spot for pricing?

Large datacenters haven't liquidated their Scalable servers yet so you're mostly looking at new prices unless you buy ES/QS parts.

1st gen 8175M and 8171M, or 2nd gen 8259L and 8272CL.

Seconded, unless your application is Naples-unfriendly (virtualization workloads work great on Naples) this gets you the same performance as a 28-core Platinum but at a third the price with and with retail parts.
