    nice write up.

I been checking out Dell outlet to possible upgrade my home lab and noticed many configs using this cpu. I'm wondering if a r740 with dual 6130 cpu would be enough to replace my two servers i'm running at home? Both servers are dual cpu e5-2680v2 with one system at 128 and the other at 192 GB Ram. I do like having two systems running for fail over but the power average (700 watts with other bits running) makes me think of upgrading to single box with a newer cpu. I need the higher speed CPU vs more cores due to running VM for Freenas, UTM, VOIP, Desktops. i dont have many VM using a ton of CPU. Most are idling since i use it for dev VM as well as home "prod" VMs.

Any thoughts whether going to one box with 2 6130 (or 61xx cpu) would be an upgrade vs two e5-2680v2 servers or would it be a close one to one match in performance with hopefully less power usage?

below is current snapshot of boxes.
