Are there any Xeon D boards with NVME options? Either through a SFF plug or M.2 slot?
Or is it possible somehow to retrofit a NVME drive (Intel 750 or M.2) to a regular SAS HBA (mini-SAS SFF8087 port)?
I'm doing a mITX vSAN build to host my home lab etc. and already have the SAS HBA card.
Same. I'm hoping mine arrives on Saturday!WiredZone is now shipping the SM flex X10SDV-4C-7TP4F, received an update on my order, is processed and ready to ship..Yippee..

This is certainly a production board and I had heard that Gigabyte had US shops who ordered them so I would imagine availability soon.Any availability on those yet Patrick?
Yes.@Patrick will you do a review on the gigabyte board ? Power consumption test etc ?
Had a play with this yet? I've decided I'm giving up on my 16 core dreams since SFP + mitx is more important in my home lab, and would love an opinion before I pull the trigger on the first one I can findThis is certainly a production board and I had heard that Gigabyte had US shops who ordered them so I would imagine availability soon.
I wonder why they decided not to use the Intel 10G NIC. This board would be a strong buy with Intel 10G NICs + M.2 PCIe (nvme capable) option.Had a play with this yet?
