So, I bought what is most certainly a 240GB DC S3500. It is only recognized as 192GB however. Anyone have any ideas as to what happened to the missing 20% of space? I presume it's hosed and I need to return/send it in for warranty?

interesting, maybe the previous owner over provisioned the drive ?

Seems that may be a possibility. I'll be poking around with hdparm tomorrow. Kinda expected Intel's own tools to recognize that.
