I've bought from this seller before: Intel 400GB 2 5" DC P3600 PCIe 3 0 MLC SSD SSDPE2ME400G4I | eBay is at $560 now but I wouldn't be surprised if you could get it for $500. Maybe for people like @Chuntzu in that NVMe thread this is a good one. Not much more than the 750 but better endurance.

Yea the P3600 I think is a better drive and at that price...

If you can get that for $500 super deal. Those drives sell for much more and the 750's are selling for over $400 and the P3500's are selling for almost $600.

Exactly. When can we see new backplanes made for existing chassis, the SAS1 were swappable to SAS2, so when do we get SAS3 + NVME backplanes to swap out? I'd much rather do that if it's affordable than buy new chassis just to get NVME Which is the road I"m heading down in a few months.

I low-balled him for fun since I don't have NVME anything capable at the moment $450. He countered at a few bucks off, and I think his last counter was $540, so no, he didn't jump anywhere near the $500 mark. I wouldn't either, as I have not a need this moment but it would be fun of course
