Awesome thank you for the heads up. I have been a bit worried about the 750 endurance numbers.

If you can get that for $500 super deal. Those drives sell for much more and the 750's are selling for over $400 and the P3500's are selling for almost $600.

A PCIE card that accepts the proper cables for the drives / backplane in common SM chassis to 'upgrade' to SAS3+NVME support like their new chassis.

Not sure of the "proper" terminology ;)

More for the other thread but not going to happen.

Well unless you rip backplanes and add more power.

Exactly. When can we see new backplanes made for existing chassis, the SAS1 were swappable to SAS2, so when do we get SAS3 + NVME backplanes to swap out? I'd much rather do that if it's affordable than buy new chassis just to get NVME :( Which is the road I"m heading down in a few months.

So did he not take $500? I would have thought that would work.

I low-balled him for fun since I don't have NVME anything capable at the moment $450. He countered at a few bucks off, and I think his last counter was $540, so no, he didn't jump anywhere near the $500 mark. I wouldn't either, as I have not a need this moment but it would be fun of course :)

If it's the same seller they messaged me offering it for $520.

Might try to offer $500.

I'm waiting until I have a new chassis for NVME :)

Down to $526. I know I have at least 3 of these around... maybe time for a 4th?
