Hi. Has anyone installed and ran Broadcom LSA 008.003.012.000 successfully under Rocky Linux 9.2? I am familiar with the installation steps. I can install and run LSA under Rocky Linux 8.8 and Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.

But it doesn’t work under 9.2. The installation log has this error

error: pubKey.asc: key 1 import failed

Thank you in advance for any help.

I haven't ever used LSA, but it appears the pubkey error wasn't a blocking issue since the install continued with successful steps afterwards, it looks like it tried to start a service and failed, you'll need to sift through some logs to find the name of the service and find its output to discover the root cause.

Change crypto policy to 'legacy'. You can see in the error output their key is still signed with SHA1. Policy changed in 9 at least on Alma here.

Thanks. I changed the policy to DEFAULT and installed the newest version of LSA (008.006.010.000) using the folder gcc_11.2.x. This time the pubkey error message no longer shows up. But LSA failed to launch :(

Starting LSI Storage Authority [FAILED]

I see some log files under /opt/lsi/LSIStorageAuthority. They don't show any error messages. Do you know another location of the log file pertinent to LSA? Thanks!

I re-installed the system with Rocky Linux 9.1. LSA works fine. Something in 9.2 broke the software.

Hi there

I was also troubled by a similar issue.
When I contacted Broadcom support about this phenomenon, I received the following response:
-----------------------------
This is a known issue with the cURL update that occurs in Rocky 9.2.

The issue was the openldap dependency of curl.
Whenever openldap was updated from 2.4 to 2.6, LSA would break.

Installing openldap-compat will resolve this issue.
-----------------------------

After trying 'dnf install openldap-compat,' it worked successfully.
I would be pleased if you find this information helpful.
