M4400 came in the mail. It's indeed in amazing condition with only a few scratches on the lid.

Installing and updating Vista Win7 right now.

For the first time in my life and after many tries, I MANAGED TO PINMOD A PENTIUM M!

Going from a Pentium M 780 to a 745A at 2.4 GHz made my CBR 11.5 score go from 0.17 to 0.55 points.

Those are actually a M70 and M2300.

As for your question: M6600.
I must have missed your reply somehow. :( Oh well, better late than never. :)

Interesting! I could have swore they were from the Latitude line! :)

Sweet! Now I know what I can hunt for. :) I depend on the 8760w so I'll need a backup...or that's what I'm tell myself anyways, lol.

I didn't even know this was such a thing--how much of a effect did it have on the cooling since there will be more heat?

M6400 Covet in awesome condition but the seller seems reluctant to sell someone outside Germany.. interesting. He doesn't seem willing to mention what he wants for it either. Tried offering him €130 but he declined.

Trip to Germany to pick it up locally?

Driving 1100 km for a laptop? No thanks, it's just a M6400. That, and he also declined my €180 offer which is already much higher than I want to pay for one.
Gotcha. I was thinking flight, lol. But that would make it even more expensive! o_O

Wow what an asshole, I sent him a offer of €180 including shipping and then he sells it to someone else for €175, go figure!

Well, people always have their reasons. It's all good, there will always be another one and that one will be meant to be yours. :)

Yay my donor D800 came in the mail, and I now have a M60 with a working WUXGA screen and intact screen latch!

Amazing how that Varta BIOS battery leaking completely ruined the rollcage/Magnesium chassis of this thing. Glad Dell thought of that and encased the BIOS battery in a seperate compartiment away from the mobo.

Nice! Pretty surprising to have a 'containment structure' for that battery. Must have some radioactive stuff in it.

I finally got my first precision--an M6800 with the top end i7--solid speed upgrade from my HP 8760w, and a great backup. :)
