I had too many Precisions and too little time

You have quite a lot of experience looking for laptop parts and I would appreciate it if you could share sites where you shop.
Also, if you ever offer to sell finished machines, you might ask me first.

I remembered something else.
Have you tried installing better Wi-Fi cards and WWAN cards in the M4400 and other laptops and what was your experience?

Parts-people and USA eBay mostly. All my Precisions except the M6500 Covet and M6600 are for sale, actually. Should have bought my top-end M4400 at this point lol

As for upgrading WLAN: I exclusively use Ultimate-N 6300 cards in my Precisions.

M90 sold. Wish that guy would have said he wanted XP on it, oh well I chalk that one up to the language barrier.

What specs, mods and upgrades does your M6600 have?
And of course, what is the cost of all this?

2960XM, 5010M, 32GB, no storage, IPS RGBLED screen. Also includes a spare lid and palmrest I never bothered swapping over because the base I bought ended up not being NOS at all.

I was thinking of €500.

I love upgrading my machines.
I collect the best components for them, then replace, modify, add, whatever I can.
I keep the original, but with maximum modifications.
I have a Thinkpad X220T with quite serious changes on it.
This was a few years ago and still works fine.
Everything is modern, but there is no 5G GSM network support yet.

I figured it would be in there somewhere. A good collectible machine is worth a lot.
This is too much for me right now.
I usually buy machines up to 100 euros and it usually turns into several purchases because I don't like something.
Ideally, I have 2 of this machine, of which I collect 1 piece.
I have also collected from 6 machines, one!
It's crazy, I know, but... Enjoy!:)

I also have cheaper Precisions. How about a M2400 for €100 so it's gone?

Or a M4300 with a NOS battery and display?

I just saw what you wrote.
I'm very busy these days, I can't think straight about such things.
I'll consider it when I get a chance.
Thank you!

Speaking of selling stuff, I just sold my M6600. Guy already owns a M4700 but wanted a bigger screen.

Nice to see it went to another enthusiast who knows what he's dealing with!

Just now I came across an HP Dragon with a broken video card.
I've had a bit of an expense these months, but still, what are the specs of your M4300 and how much will it cost to ship to Finland, Rauma, 26100?
If not now, at least for the future to be aware of the transport?

Not cheap due to weight: €32,50

Check USA eBay for a spare GPU, I have some crap at my USA contact but not enough yet for it to make sense to get it reshipped.

Specs aren't that interesting: T8100/4GB/320GB HDD with XP on it.

And that's the M70 gone. Funny how that used to be a machine I really wanted because of nostalgic reasons (I had a D810 in school around 10 years ago and absolutely loved that thing)

Aaaaand the M4300 is also gone now. Sold it for a absolute shit price compared to what I invested in it, but space > money at this point.

That only leaves the M2400, M4400 and M6400 Covet. Although at this point I might as wel keep them. Kinda wish I never sold the 8GB RAM or the X9100 in the M2400. Oh well.

Holy ****ing shit: Laptop I7-1st Generation DELL Precision M6500 i7 1.73ghz 17

If this store is legit... a M6500 with a Quadro 5000M (!) for $135, i'll take your entire goddamn stock!

Just came across this post. I've been searching endlessly for a new Quadro 5000M for my machine ever since my last Quadro 5000M began acting up last year. After seeing the link you posted I was ready to just buy the whole workstation just to get ahold of the GPU but it seems like they don't ship to the US. Are any Canadian users here willing to purchase the machine and send me the Quadro 5000M and I'll reimburse you for the trouble, or does any user here, be it American or Canadian have a 5000m lying around that they can spare. Would be an early Christmas for me

Or you could just buy my entire M6400 Covet with a 5000M :^)
