HPE NVME x16 PLX card has a blinking amber debug led

Don't know much about these cards, and virtually zero info on them out there other than they are based on the Broadcom PEX 8749 pcie-switch chip, the HPE part number is 708724-001.

Anyone with HPE connections able to find out if the blinking amber led on it has any meaning? (two ambers actually, one is constantly on and the one next to it closest to the bracket blinking on and off every second, I see some text next to those leds 'DEBUG')

Well it causes a RSOD when you boot up with a drive attached to it's backplane so its definitely playing silly buggers, when no drive attached it doesnt crash, but obviously its no use not having drives attached to it lol.
