Morning all... long time reader, first time poster!

a few months back, i managed to buy 2 HP Storageworks P4300 G2 servers with dual quad xeons, 12gb ram and 8 1TB SAS disks... I have been busy, and never got around to sorting them out (first boot to confirm all was good, but not much else). Last week, i managed to get one booting, and well, its LOUD! even idle, its loud... its a lot louder than my fully loaded C6100... So, anyone know of a way to swap the standard fans with quieter ones? I have seen it done on other HP servers, but these dont seem to be the same...

Also, since we are on the topic of hardware, anyone know if its possible to replace the CD drive with an SSD? i see 6 SATA ports on board, but the CD Drive seems to be a different power connection... I am planning just cutting the connector and replacing it, but before doing so, just checking if it would work...

Thanks.
