HP Procurve 6400CL and Brocade Fastiron 648S

First the most important thing:
STH is an awesome place. So much going on here. We are all good at certain areas and people are so willing to help others.

I am a networking n00b and really not my wheelhouse so not on my to learn list. But that doesnt mean I can trun stuff at home.
I have been assisted here and it is appreciated.
HP Procurve 6400CL plugged into a Brocade FastIron 648S and commands given to me how to enable the "CX4" ports on the back of the brocade.

I havent really been using the 10gb network much as it has been working but inconsistent and now I want to get it going correctly.

so first order of business. I want to connect to the DB9 into my HP Procurve 6400CL. i was able to years ago but dont recall what I did.
I know the cable is good and putty is good as I can connect to the brocade to which I have that doc to follow as well.





I plugged serial into the brocade and powered it up and got:
