The time has finally come to sell my N54L.
This thing has been absolutely flawless and has never missed a beat since 2014 when I bought it from Newegg.

It has served duty as an ESXi host and XPENology NAS and happily runs plex/sickrage/sonnar/radarr/sabnzbd etc.
I have never had an issue streaming Plex from this thing, and am only retiring it as I need more memory for my VM guests
  • AMD Turion II Neo N54L (2.2 Ghz)
  • Modified Bios
  • 25w TDP
  • 2 x RAM slots
  • Onboard AMD HD4200 VGA: 128MB, 1920x1200 @ 60hz
  • 4 x 3.5" internal drive bays
  • 1 x 5.25" internal ODD quick release bay
  • 1 x PCIe 2.0 16x @16x
  • 1 x PCIe 2.0 1x (+ 1x PCIe 4x for Remote Access Card)
  • USB 2.0: 7 total (2 rear, 4 front, 1 internal)
  • 150W built-in PSU
The front door is a bit messed up, and does swing open and closed properly, but it does sit closed and looks fine.

I am in the SF bay area and could meet up down here or in the city easily enough.

This little server will kick ass for years to come, and I'm hoping to send it off to a good home for $180 :)

I'm assuming you did direct play for Plex, right? I had that setup and it choked whenever it had to transcode 1080p content

I primarily had it playing to an appleTV, Roku or Amazon FireTV, and never noticed an issue.

We can work out something in regards to shipping, but it's really going to depend on your zip :)

The modified bios is to enable the 5th and 6th sata ports.
You can 4 in the chassis, then I ran one up in the 5.25" CD slot at the top, and I've heard people run 2 up there, or connect another via esata

Still looking for someone to pick up a great little NAS/Vmware box :)
