how to flash a procurve 6400cl???

Ok so network n00b here..
but I got a procurve 6400 6 port switch up and running. it is running an old version (believe 2007 and 2016 fw is available)...

so can someone explain to me how to do this.. yes I need a start to finish please!!!

I always go with copying from a tftp server, since I have one running all the time to PXE boot things.

Then look in the release notes pdf for the fw version you are updating to. Probably on page 2 it will say something like:

ProCurve switch # copy tftp flash 10.28.227.103 M_08_8x.swi
The primary OS image will be deleted. continue [y/n]? Y

The 10.28.227.103 is the IP of your TFP server, and M_08_8x.swi is the frimware image you downloaded form HPEs site andunzipped and put on the tftp server.

so I grabbed SolarWinds tftp ….
so I get part of it.. but im doing it from a different machine..
im not sure how to get my file on the tftp… so ive got some figurin out to do.. few cold brews has me not totally focused.. but time to look..

GOT IT!!!!!
my tftp machine (gaming rig) has firewall on..
went to plex box and installed it there.. no firewall...
and its going.. sweet
