My 32U rack is full, cool air intake at front, exhaust all out the rear. I have a front door but rear is fully open. I'm thinking of building a tent type enclosure encompassing the whole rear hooked up to a duct and to a large low RPM fan to draw the hot air out to a specific direction.

Is this crazy talk or are there off the shelf type solutions?

Goal is to be able to direct the warm air either out or to somewhere more useful in the winter, rather than just heat up the intake air in the same room.

Edit:
Now I'm seeing air flow "Chimneys", might look into those a bit more.
