I'm not sure if this is a great deal or not, but I thought it'd be nice to share the information from the seller... "Grade A" 100% Health... He checked several labels for 2015 manufactured date.

$6.125/TB for those doing the math. One of the large recyclers in MN, so would be interesting to see how one comes out on the other end.

They only want $353.18 UPS Worldwide "Saver". Bargain! I'll have half a dozen please :D

To be fair to the seller, they do state in the listing that they will look at the shipping cost, if you think it's too high.

$6/TB is on the lower end for drives of this size is it not?
The average price I have paid for 8TB hard drives the last 18 months is around 30USD ea. Seriously, there is a huge amount of almost 10 years old 8TB hard drives on Ebay. Just wait and the will be a price crash. There are still plenty of those 3 years old 14TB Toshiba drives for 80 USD

Can you post a link to the 14tb Toshiba?

I concur , back in Oct-Dec 2023 , I paid (Best Offer )$25 each for 8TB SAS.
My guess there were over 600 drives among all the Ebay sellers with listing price below $40 with Best Offer
Today, my only regret was not stock up 8TB HD.

This deal was too good to be true, but it turned out to be real.
I got a bunch of the 14TB new drives at $50 each with $3 per drive shipping.
0 power on hours. Drives was well packed.

Wow, $3.75/TB--that's what I find 4TB at, so I'll definitely keep my eyes peeled. I'm assuming the 8TBs you're referring to are SAS, right?

$3.79/TB--NICE!

Thank you both! I will set my bar lower from now on. :) I don't think there will be many deals on SATA at this price per TB, but it won't hurt to look for them knowing they exist in SAS. Also speaks volumes to the reliability of these SAS drives that even after years of 24x7 use, they're still good for more years of use in their 'retirement'. :) SAS FTW.
