Hello, noticing a few of these and similar Helium 8TB HGST drives on ebay at the US$275 range. late 2014 and newer..

Which is the model that there were problems with not so long ago, in the HGST / WD He range?

The only thing I know of is the Power Disable Pin business. HGST says "If you want the feature, you must specifically order it." Of course, when buying used / OEM surplus / etc. drives you can't control what you get. I think HGST was the first vendor to implement this part of SATA 3.3, so they got burned by it. I don't know their specific plans, but I'd suspect they're going to move to a jumper-based configuration instead of separate SKUs.
