HGST 100gb sas ssd

I bought a couple of these - 100gb for $80 each:
Hitachi HGST Ultrastar 100GB 2.5" SAS 6Gbps SLC NAND Solid State Drive HUSSL4010
I just received them today - they're HUSSL4010ASS600

SMART data on them shows a surprisingly low write load: 525GB on one and 7500GB on the other. The endurance counters for usage haven't even reached 1% yet. I realize that this is a pretty typical deal for these, but I was really surprised at the low wear on them.

I would not be so surprised, most people vastly over spec based on workloads that never or rarely happen. Nature of enterprise.

Probably many more worn SSD from workstations Firefox bugs or swap usage and hibernate etc.

(Yes sure some SSD get flogged as write cache but certainly not all of them)

Still trying to find me a couple more 400gber of those to finish a jbod!
