Ok so im not sure what happened, but i had my main two volumes fail. Boot 640x4 R10 and 10x2tb R6 volumes.

So i went to insert a USB flash drive into the front port on my 4020 and the instant i did that i got a BSOD and my Areca started beeping. Now im not sure if the USB thing was related or not, and it doesnt really matter now anyways.

Basically my Boot Volume and DATA volume became degrade and failed instantly/simultaneously.
The system reset automatically to recover from the BSOD. The RAID card started to rebuild my two volumes, but I didnt get in there and the while the RAID cards FW was loading it failed to load and then the time countdown to enter the RAID bios started and since i didnt get there immediately it ran out and rebooted the system.....
Now i have it booted to the RAID BIOS and i have reconfigured my network so i can get to the out of band mgt.

But my volumes are not rebuilding and are in a failed state.

I am totally lost as to what to do.

Do you have a BBU?

My Areca 1680LP got decommissioned two weeks ago while I was doing a big system swap. I cannot test anything right now, but will be able to hopefully tomorrow. Dumb question, but did you try to reboot? My guess is that odditory will see this thread and have seen this 1,000 times.

Yea i had the BBU, and the system rebooted twice automatically.

I figured if the system ever got hung up w/ a BSOD it would be best to have it automatically reboot itself so my all my VMs that run my network would come back :(

So much for that.
