My new Seagate ST12000VN0007 drives seem to have new underside mounting hole locations. I can no longer use my Fractal Design trays. I thought these locations were standardized. When'd this change?

It looks like your trays expect the A7 and A6 hole sets, while your drive has A7 and A13.
See the SFF-8031 specification, in particular Section 3.1 and Figure 3-1.
Also ran into this situation when adding 8TB HGST drives to Fractal Design Define R4. Fractal Design customer service was excellent - can't remember if I called or emailed, but provided SN from case, and they shipped newer trays with correct hole pattern.
