Has anyone tried to use PERC11/h755 or Broadcom 9560-16i or similar with Dell workstations ?
Backplanes for 5820/7820 are identical 7920 is slightly different (at least PCB) but none of them work for me with PERC11
Doesn't detect SSD or backplane.

SSD works fine when connected directly to motherboard.
these backplanes are known to work with 9460.

I'm thinking it could be the cabling...
I want to try the H755P in my Intel server with NVMe SSDs but the cabling I'm using will probably not support it. My understanding is the white SFF-8643s support NVMe drives, black do not. Again, I've been told (thank you Broadcom) that is an industry standard.

I bought the same cables you posted in other thread :) so have you tried to use them with NVMe disks on your machine ?
