I monitor the core frequencies of dual E5-2680v2 system, cpu0-cpu19 are from socket 1, the rest from socket 2.
It's a bit hard to tell in that picture, but with lower sampling, there's a low density gap between the bottom and the top; meaning the core frequencies spend most of their time near 2800Mhz or near 1200-1800Mhz.
