You guys might appreciate this little project...a custom 5U server case frame for GPU mining.

Looks cool. looks like you can shave a few inches off the depth.

are there any plans on rails? or do we just buy cheap 1U servers to place these on?

The depth is ~28-inches.

Rails would be nice. Can you recommend some (keeping in mind that they will probably have to be modified in order to attach them to the frame)?

I am not certain that there is a certain BRAND that I would pick.

Norcotek rails are cheap. I would probably start there.

you would probably need to change where your verticals are so you can screw the inner rail to them properly.

and if this for a render farm. you will need a few fans in the middle to push hot air out of the video cards.
