Respectfully, seems like there are better places to track the ever changing GPU saga. When I needed a card, I used the fixit discord and it helped tons. Good luck getting the cards you want.
When these cards reach the market hilarity will ensue.Ethereum mining is really hard on the GPU memory. 30 series GPUs hash rate goes up quite a lot if you OC the memory as much as possible without driver crashing or lots of invalid solutions.
Buildzoid already said something among the lines of "when 3090s become a few years old these will all die"When these cards reach the market hilarity will ensue.
I think this is mainly because of how many of (half?) the memory modules on the 3090s are mainly on the back (or flip chipped?) of the PCB were cooling is very limited. I think this is why on the 3090 Ti has all the memory on the 'front' so that it can be cooled by the huge heatsink fan combination.Buildzoid already said something among the lines of "when 3090s become a few years old these will all die"
Noted to self to stay away from 3090....lol.. not that I am in the market for one. I will likely get 3070 or 3080 at most. No point wasting my $ for small gains on 3090 compared to 3070 or 80.I think this is mainly because of how many of (half?) the memory modules on the 3090s are mainly on the back (or flip chipped?) of the PCB were cooling is very limited. But yes, I would expect a lot of the 3090s to die off pretty quickly. They just aren't designing cooling adequate enough for the hotter running GDDR6X memory.
