Gigabyte MD70-Datto on eBay

I've seen a few of these on eBay for good prices, does anyone have experience with these? When they boot is it a custom BIOS or will I be able to install any os from the get go?

It s a good board, though some designs decisions are questionable.

For instance, the LSI controller sits on cpu0, the 10gbe Nic on cpu1.
So unless you use 2 CPUs, no onboard 10gbe for you.

The bios itself is standard AMI contracted blue / grey.
