I read that STH article NVIDIA Deep Learning / AI GPU Value Comparison Q2 2017 and started looking at 1080 Ti's.

Here's maybe not a killer deal, but a deal nonetheless. Some of the FE cards with blowers are in the $675 to 689 range, but they don't have the cooling of the 3 fan cards. The Gigabyte one I noted a cool pricing difference. It's normally $699.

Amazon Amazon.com: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 Ti GAMING OC 11GB Graphic Cards N108TGAMINGOC-11GD: Computers & Accessories
Newegg GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1080 Ti DirectX 12 GV-N108TGAMING OC-11GD 11GB 352-Bit GDDR5X PCI Express 3.0 x16 ATX Video Card-Newegg.com

Now when I go to ebay and look at the Newegg listing for the card it says $699 but is only $679 in the cart GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1080 Ti DirectX 12 GV-N108TGAMING OC-11GD 11GB 352-Bit GDDR | eBay and you get ebay bucks

Still Newegg but extra 5% off.

I should have made a build when taking it all apart / painting it / reassembling.... but alas.

I'll take a few pictures of the card / core if you're interested.
Please do... quite curious.
Rather loving mine, nothing like going from a 65fps to 200 on bf4 @1600p and getting to crank all settings to the max.

Are these going to drop $100 when Vega launches? I cannot get myself to buy something this close to AMDs expected launch.

Consumer Vega I believe is in early July. Their professional Vega is late June.

I do expect prices to drop. But if they drop $100 in a month mine will have mined over $100 worth so will still be ahead.
